John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park
John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is located on Key Largo Island of archipelago Key islands. Park occupies 240 sq.km of Atlantic Ocean.
John Pennekamp Coral Reef park is first ever underwater park in USA.
You can get to know the underwater park not only by diving with an aqualung or by swimming with a snorkel, but also through transparent boat bottom.
The most famous sight in the park – Bronze figure of Christ located in the Mediterranean sea. In 1965 figure was sold to American underwater community and was place 8 meters under the water.
In the centre of the park few aquariums introduce visitors to the sea inhibitors of the archipelago.
During a walk on the paved route you can find yourself cozy place for picnic and swimming.
